Ready to drop the hammer
I think that, by or before 10-1-2017, the 9th anniversary of this wiki, I will begin what I see as the final stage in the broad development of this wiki: the posting of full manga chapter transcripts.
1 - I say final stage because at the moment, I am at an honest loss as to where else we could possibly go. We are out of characters and synopses, and with a few exceptions (possibly as few as five) we are out of reasonable explanatory/exploratory essays as well. That could just be a lack of imagination on my part, but I think from here on in, we will be merely shoring up and strengthening existing articles rather than creating whole new ones.
2 - My idea remains this: Rather than slapping together 109 articles that will then need revision as we go along, we would concentrate on just the first, rather long chapter, and make its article a model for the others to follow.
3 - Even things like what these articles will be titled would be up for grabs while it was in development. I would want not only prominent English scanlations, but other languages where the impact or tone of the words end up differently. A section for Japanese translation and transliteration would be a must.
4 - This would be open to everyone, and if there is a disagreement over what was said or how it was said in different editions, that will be noted and used as part of the article.
Hopefully, maybe, we can have the very first article done in time for the wiki's 10th anniversary next year. Any thoughts?
